Tony has a M.S. in Geography and is a certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) with over 20 years experience in collecting, analyzing and presenting spatial and non-spatial data using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing, CAD, GPS, and various other digital techniques. Mr. Thatcher has participated in numerous environmental monitoring and evaluations projects throughout North America where he has designed custom data management applications. Tony’s strengths reside in his ability to integrate diverse technologies, data and software to create innovative solutions to meet client needs. He has extensive experience in developing modeling scenarios for natural resource and environmental applications, custom mapping techniques, tools, and user interfaces for data management and presentation in both GIS and database environments. Mr. Thatcher is an elected board member of the Montana Association of Geographic Information Professionals (MAGIP) and currently serves as the group’s treasurer.

Karin received a B.S. in geology from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an M.S. from the University of Wyoming. Karin is the owner of Applied Geomorphology, Inc. and has been working in the field of applied fluvial geomorphology for 22 years. Her primary interest is evaluating watershed-scale geomorphic processes in Montana, determining within a given watershed, how the physical environment and human influences collectively affect geomorphic systems, and using that information to develop process-based strategies for resource management and stream restoration. In this capacity Ms. Boyd has developed a unique ability to integrate disparate information, ideas and concepts from a wide variety of physical and social sciences. This applied approach contributes to her success in developing realistic applied approaches to projects that are both scientifically sound and acceptable to competing interests.

Bryan Swindell has nearly a decade of experience providing GIS expertise to numerous government and private sector projects throughout the Rocky Mountain west. Bryan’s strength lies in the collection, analysis and presentation of diverse types of geographic information. He has significant experience working on multidisciplinary teams to identify, organize and prioritize environmental and social issues. Prior to joining DTM in 2005, Bryan held a series of appointments as a biologist and geographer for the US Bureau of Land Management, the US Forest Service and the US Geological Survey. He recently completed his Master’s degree in Earth Sciences at Montana State University, studying the relationships between climate and water resources in the Bighorn River Basin, Wyoming.
